1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which store small pieces of data in your browser.
2. How Pluto Suite uses cookies
Our marketing website (plutosuite.com) uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Without asking, the site only stores your cookie choice and, for the current tab, the campaign tags and any ad click ID in the link you arrived on. Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel cookies are only set after you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner. If you choose "Essential only", no Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta Pixel code loads on the site. We do not sell any data collected through cookies.
3. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Can it be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Remembers your cookie choice ("Accept all" or "Essential only") in your browser's local storage, so the banner is not shown again. | No. Without it the site cannot remember your choice. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics shows us how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on page) so we can improve it. It only runs after you choose "Accept all". | Yes |
| Advertising | Google Ads conversion measurement and the Meta Pixel show us which of our Google, Facebook and Instagram ads led to a visit, a signup or a subscription. They only run after you choose "Accept all". | Yes |
| Campaign links | If you arrive from an ad or campaign link, its campaign tags (such as utm_source) and any Google or Meta ad click ID in the link are kept in your browser's session storage for that tab, whatever you choose in the banner, and cleared when you close it. When you follow a link to sign up, the campaign tags go with you to app.plutosuite.com. The ad click ID, the Google Analytics IDs and Meta's browser ID are only passed on if you chose "Accept all"; the app then keeps them for up to 90 days and removes them once you sign up or sign out. Otherwise the link tells the app you did not consent. | Keeping them for the tab, no. Passing the ad click ID, the Google Analytics IDs and Meta's browser ID on to the app, yes: choose "Essential only". Campaign tags describe the ad, not you, and are always passed on. |
4. The Pluto Suite app
The Pluto Suite mobile and web apps use local storage for session tokens and app preferences rather than traditional browser cookies. This storage is essential to keeping you signed in and making the app work. The app does not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If you accepted cookies on plutosuite.com before signing up, our server tells Google Analytics and Meta two things, once each: that your visit led to a new account, and, if the business you signed up with starts paying within 90 days, the amount and currency of its first payment. Google receives them under the random Google Analytics ID from your visit. Meta receives them with its cookie and ad click IDs from your visit, your browser's user agent and, for the new account only, the IP address you signed up from. We do not send your name, email address, business details or bookkeeping data to either, we do not send Google the ad click ID, and we never report renewals. The phone app also includes Meta's software kit, described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Managing your choices
- Consent banner: when you first visit plutosuite.com, a banner lets you accept all cookies or continue with essential cookies only. Your choice is saved on your device. Until you choose "Accept all", no Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta Pixel code loads.
- Change your mind: you can reopen the cookie consent options at any time using the button below. If you switch to "Essential only", we tell Google's and Meta's tags to stop, delete the Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta cookies set on plutosuite.com, and their code no longer loads from your next page view.
- Signing up: if you chose "Essential only", nothing is sent to Google Analytics or Meta. If you accepted and later switched to "Essential only", the app forgets your visit the next time you follow a link from plutosuite.com to it. To stop it after you have signed up, email support@plutosuite.com and we will remove it by hand.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage entirely. If you block local storage, the site cannot remember your cookie choice and will ask again on each visit.
6. Third-party services
Every page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details in order to deliver them. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. If you choose "Accept all", the site also loads Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, provided by Google LLC, and the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to measure visits and ad performance. These providers act under their own privacy policies, including Google's at policies.google.com/privacy and Meta's at facebook.com/privacy/policy. We do not control third-party cookies. Apart from the Meta Pixel, we do not embed social media trackers.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you via the website.
